This next idea can be used for either multiplication or addition.  All you need for this is a pair of dice, paper and pencil.  You simple choose a number that you are going to add to.  With addition I usually add to a total between 75 and 500, depending on the student.
      1.  To start each player rolls a dice, whoever gets the highest number goes first. Play goes to the left (clockwise)  One of the player becomes the score keeper.  This player adds the total of each roll to the player's running total on the paper.
      2.  The player rolls both dice, and adds the total on each dice together.  The score keeper, then adds that total to the players running total on the paper.  The play then goes to the person on the player on the left.
